It took several rounds of spot spraying and harrowing to knock down everything that grew back in the designated pollinator plot. And it certain that there are plenty of seeds still in the soil that will germinate next year with more moisture and warmth. But we got it pretty clear.
It’s not clear if the rocks were actually sprouting, or were simply being lifted by the harrow. But we got a nice crop of rocks, to the point we felt we had to remove a layer. And in this picture, where we’re tending our crop of rocks, you can see that the plot area is well and truly cleared.
